The club house
MAA is lucky to have a large club house with ample racking for boats, both club and private. We share the facilities with the Metropolitan Police Rowing Club who have a small membership and their own boats.

At ground level, as well as boat racking, we have a large gym space with ergos (rowing machines) and weights equipment for members to use. Upstairs there are changing rooms and showers for men and women, plus a bar, kitchen facilities, a large club room and a smaller committee room. We also have a function room available to members for hire.

Racking
See the 'boats' page for further details.

Parking
MAA has limited parking space in the club car park. Over fill from this is on Hartington Road. Ibis lane is a private road and access to residential properties must always be kept clear. Do not park in Ibis Lane – members and guests who do so risk being clamped. The University of Westmister (Quintin Boathouse) carpark is not available to MAA members. Please do not park here for risk of annoying our neighbours.

Security
Each of the main access doors or the clubhouse is on a numerical keycode lock. New members will be told how to open each door. In the interests of all members' security doors must not be propped open at anytime.

There is clear signage (displayed within the club) which tells you what your responsiblity is to ensure the Club is properly secured and alarmed. This is for ALL members not just key holders. If you are last to leave you MUST secure and alarm the premises.

On closing up the Club, the front door must be locked by the last person out, using the Chubb key and the alarm set. Keyholders must not loan their Chubb key to ANYONE – EVER!

Water
Water at MAA is metered, members should try to use as little as possible, not leaving the showers or the hosepipe running. Water in the changing rooms is softened and not suitable for drinking. The tap in the kitchen or downstairs in the boathouse should be used instead.
